Merry Christmas!!!!!
... I know, I know, it's far too early to be bashing out messages of the festive variety. The summer is, however, very definately over, which is lucky for me and my eczema and my massive cashmere jumper which wants finishing (impossible to knit when it's hot - trust me on that one!).
As usual, I am left feeling a minority in the Autumn. The second half of the year is by far my favourite for many reasons. Cosy evenings, knitted socks, and my birthday at new year to name a few, but topping all of these is probably the unveiling of Lush Cosmetics' Christmas products. A cracking assortment this year, as always.
So let me introduce you to my new favourite buddy; the 'Abombinaball' (shown above). He lets off a soft hum of vanilla, orange and peppermint; honey sweet in scent but tingly refreshing on the skin. I am exceptionally lucky in the fact I have a jacuzzi, but you don't need one at all. Refreshing and comforting at the same time, he softens the water and is better for us sensetive skinned lot than Lush's ultra fun bubble bars.
I do like to have a play, mind; and my remaining Ma Bar bubble bar with it's honey-chocolate scent adds a rich, fudgy edge to what can only be described as my best bath ever. There are still some of these gems left, get one while you can!
Soap? Well you have two options there, either Lush's ultra-famous Honey I washed the Kids solid honey soap, or the back-by-popular-demand (and I mean demand!) 'It's Raining Men' liquid soap with the same floral, honey fragrance.
Don't stop there though, treat yourself and go full hog with a bath pillow and a choice of two masks; my preferred comforting Cupcake Fresh mask or opt for the fresh and invigorating Mask of Magnaminty depending on what day you seem to have found yourself having.
I feel completely awakened by this ballistic bomb of an animal, and hopping in the shower earlier, I couldn't just stop there, so raided my stash for another chocolate-honey-tingle cocktail to keep me satisfied. Better still, I really think I did it and pronounce myself a fine Lush Scientist!! Let me share my formula with you.
When Dirty Springwash was launched earlier this year, as a massive slave to trends and new products, of course I bought one. Just a small one.
Having convinced myself that this was a 'man' product, despite liking the smell, I never got around to trying it. I'm happy to admit I was wrong here, although it possesses a gentle manly musk, when combined with exfoliating gloves, I was lathered in a cool breeze instantly (even letting out a pleasant shiver, I might add).
In your hair - no other than the It's Raining Men gel; a must have for your shower AND bath, incredibly versatile.
Nab one of my aforementioned masks, and scrub your feet off with a Volcano foot mask for super soft tootsies, hope out of the shower at speed and slather yourself in Soft Coeur Massage Oil (Right) for a super soft, sleek and sweet finish, and baby soft skin.
You won't regret trying this sweet and minty mayhem and I'm certain it will be keeping me awake and yet calm and cuddled through the winter shopping madness up Oxford Street!!!
